Your kitchen sink
Chalky white crust on the faucet and aerator, and it comes straight back after you scrub it.
St. Louis, Missouri
We're a small family-owned business installing whole-home filtration and softening systems across St. Louis — the same system the big franchises sell, without the big franchise price.
Whole-home system, fully installed — $3,250
• big franchises charge $5,000–$7,000
The problem
Calcium and magnesium don't just leave spots on your glasses. They build up inside every appliance and pipe in your house, and they shorten the life of all of them.

Chalky white crust on the faucet and aerator, and it comes straight back after you scrub it.

Blocked nozzles, weak spray, and skin and hair that never quite feel clean.

Scale coats the element, so it burns more energy to heat the same water — and fails sooner.

The bore narrows year after year. You feel it as pressure loss long before you see it.
How it works
Nick walks through exactly what the system does and why it costs what it costs. Under a minute.
Every drop coming into your home passes through the system before it reaches a single tap.
The resin holds onto the calcium and magnesium responsible for hard water, and swaps them out.
No more scale buildup, no more spotty dishes, no more dry skin and hair.

Fully installed — no hidden fees
Fitted under your kitchen sink with its own tap, so the water you actually drink and cook with is the cleanest in the house. Every big franchise sells this as an upgrade. It comes with your system, at no extra cost.
Why Graystone
Soft water rinses properly, so soap and shampoo come off instead of drying on you.
No more cloudy film on glassware, and detergent that actually does its job.
Scale is what kills water heaters, dishwashers and washing machines early. Take it out.
The reverse osmosis filter comes free, so the water at your kitchen tap is the best in the house.
We live here. If something needs looking at, you're calling the people who fitted it.
$3,250 fully installed. No commission-only salesman working out what you'll tolerate.
Our team
Hey, I'm Nick! I've been in the water game for 4 years, starting with window cleaning using the same purified filtration systems now going into people's homes. We kept seeing homeowners charged $5,000–$8,000 for a system that should cost around $3,250, so we built Graystone to fix that. I lead sales & marketing at Graystone, and in my free time you can catch me on the golf course.
I'm Sean! I've spent 4 years in the water treatment industry. I started as a commission sales rep and worked my way up to hands-on installation. I've completed 100+ full home water softener, whole-home filter, and reverse osmosis installations. I lead Field Operations at Graystone, and on weekends you'll catch me firing up the BBQ with my kids.
Our promise
We're new enough that we'd rather show you the terms than a wall of star ratings. Here's what you actually get, in writing, before anyone comes to your house.
We kept seeing homeowners charged $5,000–$8,000 for a system that should cost around $3,250, so we built Graystone to fix that.
The number you're quoted is the number you pay. No separate install charge, no commission-only salesman working out what you'll tolerate at your kitchen table.
Sean has personally completed over a hundred whole-home softener, filtration and reverse osmosis installations. He's the one who turns up at your house.
Lifetime on the system's dry parts, five years on the control valve, circuit board and media, one year on our labour. You get the full statement in writing, not a slogan.
Our work
Mineral tank, brine tank and bypass, plumbed into the main line before it reaches the rest of the house. Tucked into the corner beside the water heater, out of the way, on a footprint about the size of a kitchen bin.
FAQs
A whole-home water filtration and softening system — 48,000 grain capacity, 27 GPM — a multi-stage reverse osmosis drinking filter fitted under your kitchen sink, and professional installation of both. That is the full price; there is no separate install charge.
We're a small family business, not a franchise. There's no regional office, no commission-only sales team and no national advertising budget priced into your quote. The equipment is the same class of system the franchises charge $5,000–$7,000 to install.
Water coming into your home passes through a bed of resin inside the tank. The resin grabs onto the calcium and magnesium that make water hard and swaps them out, so what reaches your taps is soft water. That's what stops the scale, the spotty dishes and the dry skin.
A correctly sized system shouldn't noticeably change your pressure. Scale buildup inside old pipes is far more likely to be what's costing you pressure, and softening stops that getting worse.
Yes. The reverse osmosis drinking system goes in under your kitchen sink with its own tap, at the same visit, at no extra cost. Sediment pre-filter, twin carbon blocks, the RO membrane, a coconut-shell carbon polish and an alkaline filter. Most companies sell it as an add-on.
Yes — we'll need access to your main water line and to the cabinet under your kitchen sink, and we'll walk you through operating the system before we leave.
Roughly an hour's drive from St. Louis in any direction. That covers St. Louis City and County, St. Charles County, Jefferson County, Franklin County, the Illinois Metro East across the river, and the southern edge of Lincoln and Warren Counties. The full town list is at the bottom of this page — if you don't see yours, call and ask, because the edge of the map moves depending on where we're working that week.
A lifetime warranty on the system's dry parts — the mechanical components that never touch water. Five years on the control valve, circuit board and filtration media, and one year on our labour from the date of installation. Separately, the manufacturer backs the media and storage tanks and the ceramic discs for life, control valves and media for five years, and the RO system for one. You get the full written statement with your install, and it's on this page as the warranty statement.
Not yet — we're a young business and our Google Business Profile is still being verified. We'd rather tell you that than pad the page out. What we can give you instead is the written warranty, a fixed price, and the name of the person who'll be doing the work. If you'd like to speak to someone whose system we've already fitted, ask and we'll put you in touch.
